Melody Schmutz, LCSW | Hope Therapy | Online Therapy in Arizona
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Arizona #22242

Hi, my name is Melody Schmutz and I am the owner and founder of Hope Therapy, an online/telehealth solution for individuals and families across Arizona. I provide telehealth therapy across Arizona for individuals and families who feel overwhelmed by anxiety, depression, ADHD challenges, and daily stress. Many of the people I work with struggle with racing thoughts, intense emotions, difficulty focusing, or impulsive reactions that affect relationships, work, and self-confidence. Therapy focuses on helping you understand what you’re experiencing, reduce emotional overload, and develop practical coping skills so you can feel more grounded and in control. Together, we work to create small, meaningful changes that build positive momentum—helping you move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of hope for your life.

I specialize in:

+ Anxiety: If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck in overthinking, or constantly on edge, you’re not alone. I help clients better understand their anxiety and build tools to feel calmer, more grounded, and more in control.

+ Depression:
Depression can make even simple things feel heavy. Together, we’ll create space to process what you’re experiencing and work toward restoring hope, energy, and connection.

+ ADHD: ADHD can affect focus, organization, motivation, and emotions. I help clients understand how their brain works and develop practical strategies that support success at school, work, and home.

+ Stress management: Life can be demanding. I support clients in identifying stress patterns and building healthier ways to respond so they feel less overwhelmed and more balanced.

+ The development of effective coping skills: I help clients build realistic, sustainable coping skills so they can navigate difficult emotions and challenges with greater confidence and resilience.

In my work, I focus on helping clients better understand how their brain and emotions work, while building practical, realistic strategies they can use both in and out of session. Therapy with me is collaborative, supportive, and skills-based.

Daffodils symbolize Hope. Therapeutically, they can represent an emergence of new beginnings and recovery after hardship. They grow in harsh conditions and return year after year reflecting inner strength, persistence, and survival.

Let’s take a step towards hope together.
